Newark Autism Helpline offers a friendly point of contact for anyone who is affected by the autistic spectrum in some way, including Professionals who want to know more about it. Whether it is just providing a sympathetic listening ear for someone to talk to or trying to match a specific request for information to the best source of expertise or point of contact, the Newark Autism Helpline is here to help in any way it can. However, it is unable to offer diagnosis of any conditions. The helpline is staffed by two people, both of whom have experience of working with people with Asperger syndrome. Jayne Sharpe was trained as a volunteer for the National Autistic Society's Parent to Parent line, she also has a son who has Asperger syndrome.
